Located at an altitude of 850 m in Aso-Kuju National Park, this is one of the largest healing flower gardens in western Japan, with 5 million flowers of 500 varieties blooming throughout the year. The park also has a restaurant, a gelato shop, a general store, a hands-on workshop, and many other attractions.

Arrive at the Kokonoe Yume Otsurihashi Bridge
With a height of 173 meters and a total length of 390 meters, this suspension bridge for pedestrian use only is the tallest of its kind in Japan. The view from the bridge is spectacular, offering views of “Shindou Falls,” one of the top 100 waterfalls in Japan, and “Kyusuikei,” famous for its fresh greenery and autumn leaves.

Surrounded by trees, the tranquil lake offers a seasonal view every time you visit. Late October to early November is the season for autumnal foliage. Walk along the boardwalk and enjoy the red and yellow maple trees and maples that illuminate the surface of the lake.
