The Meoto Iwa (Married Couple Rocks) that float 150 meters off the coast of Sakurai Futamigaura, selected as one of the 100 best beaches in Japan, feature a male rock on the right that is about 12 meters high and a female rock on the left that is about 11 meters high. The shimenawa rope connecting the two is approximately 30 meters long and weighs about one ton.
